Argonaut remains top team in small-school rankings for second consecutive week

1 (1). Argonaut (14-2) — The Mustangs defeated Calaveras twice, by identical scores of 6-4, and clinched at least a share of the Mother Lode League championship. They wrap with a two-game set against second-place Bret Harte and a single game against Amador, tied for second in the MLL.

2 (2). Hughson (17-3-2) —The Huskies went 1-1-2 at the Windemuth Tournament in Modesto, fighting up in class and losing to Valley Oak League stalwart Kimball, while beating Patterson and trying Modesto and Linden.

3 (3). Ripon (11-8) — The Indians posted a 2-2 record at the 60th annual Fran Oneto Atwater/Winton Lions Easter Tournament. When Ripon resumes Trans-Valley League play, it will be tied for first place with Livingston.

4 (4). Mariposa (17-2) — Posted a perfect 3-0 record at the Hilmar Tournament and will resume Southern League play with two games against Le Grand, which has won just once in 10 league games. The Grizzlies are tied for first in the SL with Ripon Christian and Waterford. The Grizzlies wrap league action next week against Orestimba.

5 (5). Sonora (10–7) — The Wildcats stayed alive in their quest for at least a share of the Mother Lode League title thanks to a series split with Bret Harte.
