(Trans-Valley League, Mother Lode League, Southern League, Central California Athletic Alliance)

(1). Hughson (13-1) — The Huskies had a tougher-than-expected outing against Riverbank, but they did what good teams do: they won. Faces Livingston this week in a home-and-home set. The Wolves, at 5-1, sit atop the Trans-Valley League standings. Hughson (4-1) and Ripon (3-1) have make-up games to play, but have just one league loss, .

(2). Mariposa (11-0) — Don’t expect Mariposa to go anywhere. They beat Delhi 10-0 last week and the Grizzlies should breeze through the Southern League portion of their schedule.

(nr). Livingston (10-5) — The Trans-Valley League is a power conference and the Wolves are the leaders of that conference. They need to be ranked. Presto! They’re ranked. Welcome, Livingston.

(3). Argonaut (9-2) — Lost 3-1 to Summerville last week, not enough to get them evicted from the Top 5, but enough to lose a stripe. Demoted one spot to No. 4.

(nr). Ripon (6-4) — Don’t let the record fool you, the Indians can play. Swept Modesto Christian last week and now have a two-game Trans-Valley League series this week with Hilmar, another team knocking on the Top 5’s door.
