1. Turlock (5-2, 2-0) — The Bulldogs had little trouble with ancient rival Modesto, recording their first shutout of the season in a 45-0 win. Next: Friday at Enochs.  

2. Buhach Colony (7-0) — The Thunder trailed the Bears in the fourth quarter but rallied, and then held off a late Merced charge. Next: Friday at Central Valley

3. Central Catholic (4-4, 4-0) — The Raiders cruised past Weston Ranch, scoring on their first five offensive plays from scrimmage: Next: Oct. 25 vs. Kimball

4. Manteca (5-2, 2-1) — Rolled up 84 points on Kimball, remaining just one game back in the loss column in the race for the VOL title. Next: Friday at Weston Ranch

5. Oakdale (5-3, 3-1) — Improved to 2-3 at The Corral this season and remains in control of its own fate in the VOL title chase. Next: Friday at Kimball

6. Downey (4-3, 1-1) — The Knights handed Enochs its first CCAL loss, getting seven touchdowns from tailback Robert Rivera. Next: Friday vs. Gregori

7. Sierra (5-2, 1-2) — Virtually eliminated from race for the VOL title after a 38-14 loss to Oakdale. Next: Friday at East Union

8. Patterson (5-3, 2-2) — Had a tough time shaking off a pesky Central Valley team but eventually pulled away for a 40-21 win. Next: Friday at Merced

9. Atwater (6-2, 3-1) — Outlasted Golden Valley in a shootout, prevailing 41-35. Next: Oct. 25 at Merced

10. Gregori (5-2, 2-0) — Kept pact with Turlock atop the CCAL standings with a 28-16 win over Pitman: Next: Friday at Downey.
