Who is the American Chevrolet Large-School Athlete of the Week? Vote early and often. Poll closes Tuesday at 10 p.m. (PST)

Lucas Curtis, Turlock: Curtis scored four touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ Central California Athletic League victory over longtime rival Modesto. Curtis scored two touchdowns on the ground and two through the air, and averaged 9 yards per touch (eight carries, 56 yards; two receptions, 34 yards). To vote, click here.

Treyton Fair, Pitman: Fair broke the single-game passing mark held by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick during a 24-6 victory over Gregori. Fair was 12 of 17 for 264 yards and touchdown passes to Payton Bass and Denzel Steckwren. The passing yards eclipsed the record set by Kaepernick in 2006. To vote, click here.

Francisco Mercado, Davis: Mercado provided balance to the Spartans’ high-scoring attack, rushing for 243 yards and five touchdowns in a 55-28 Western Athletic Conference victory over Lathrop. Mercado’s touchdown total the second-most in a game since Gerald Fryman scored six times in 1998. To vote, click here.

Landon Ramos, Los Banos: Ramos found the end zone four times in the Tigers’ 47-6 victory over Johansen. Ramos was quarterback Dasani Tate’s top target, reeling in six catches for 90 yards in less than three quarters of action. To vote, click here.

Xavier Stewart, Merced: Stewart played a significant role in the Bears’ 55-14 victory over Central California Conference rival Buhach Colony. The versatile senior caught two touchdown passes and then threw a 5-yard TD to give Merced a two-score lead at the half. Stewart had three catches for 101 yards. To vote, click here.
