Another Valencia earns postseason honor on All-Region large-school team

Editor's note: The 2018-19 All-Region large-school girls basketball team is comprised of players from teams in the Central California Athletic League, Central California Conference, Tri-City Athletic League (Modesto Christian only), Valley Oak League and Western Athletic Conference.

Lexi Valencia, Atwater, Sr. — Averaged 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 4.2 steals per game and helped the Falcons claim their first Central California Conference title in 31 years.

Nia Boston, Modesto Christian, Jr. — Boston was the co-MVP of the Tri-City Athletic League along with Lincoln’s Taylor Low.

Beyer's Alicia Jones averaged 22.8 points per game and was named the Western Athletic Conference MVP.

Alicia Jones, Beyer, Sr. — The Western Athletic Conference MVP averaged 22.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 4.6 steals for the league champion Patriots.

Amaya Ervin, El Capitan, Sr. — Averaged 21 points, 5.8 rebounds and an astonishing 7.4 steals per game for the CCC runners-up.

Donja Payne, East Union, Sr.— The 6-3 center was the Valley Oak League MVP and led the conference with 18 points, 19 rebounds and 5 blocks per game.
