Austin Patterson, junior, Sonora: Patterson was one of the most explosive scorers in the Sac-Joaquin Section, regardless of division. The Mother Lode’s Most Outstanding Player is responsible for one of the season's most indelible moments — a contested 3 in the final moments of the Division IV section final. "I knew it was cash," Patterson would later say.
Vincent Olmo, senior, Ripon: The biggest man in the southern half of the Sac-Joaquin Section ranked among its leaders in double-doubles. He shared the area lead with 17 double-doubles, averaging 16.9 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.6 blocks.
Cade Alger, senior, Ripon Christian: Alger averaged 18 points and 12.3 rebounds for the Knights, who advanced to the CIF State Northern California playoffs for the second straight season. Alger shared the area lead for double-doubles with across-the-street rival Olmo with 17.
Michael Vivo, senior, Waterford: An All-Region football player in the fall, Vivo led the Sac-Joaquin Section in scoring at 29 points per game. He closed the regular season with seven straight 30-point games, including a season-high 49 in an overtime win over Gustine.
Devon Acker-James, senior, Mariposa: Acker-James enjoyed a historic season for the Southern League champions. He set a single-season record for points scored with 809 and scoring average (27.9) en route to the league’s MVP award.
